George holds a MOOSE TV staff meeting and only Clifford shows up, which is not surprising considering the brawl the previous day. George reveals that the station is broke and decides to stage a telethon to save MOOSE TV. Clifford is dismayed to discover that George didn't even bother to report the real weather that morning.
Fed up because George just won't take MOOSE TV and his responsibilities to the community seriously, Clifford walks off and leaves George to his own questionable devices. George goes ahead with the telethon by himself anyway but MOOSE TV goes mysteriously off-air during a particularly sleep-deprived rant by George.
Gerry makes a deal with shadowy mining magnate Warner W. Warner to open a commercial fishing camp at the town's secret fishing spot. He also issues a "paperless" hunting license to Jack Pratt who he vaguely recognises but can't figure out from where. Alice lays down the rules of their affair to Gerry. Robin gets drunk with Joan. The murderous Jack Pratt kidnaps George and drags him into the woods but Gerry figures out what's going on and goes after them. Ernie finishes making a drum.
