"Get Up, Moose" hits the airwaves with a glitzy new set. Within minutes, and on-air, Leonard is confiscating the set one item at a time. Finally Gerry and Leonard remove the very couch George is sitting on…with George still on it.
Leaving Leonard behind to keep an eye on George, Gerry goes to Montreal to return the set furniture that George had bought. Gerry soon learns that he can't return the merchandise to the store and gets into a fracas with the owner. Finally, Gerry resorts to selling it all to a fence who just happens to have had an order for exactly the same merchandise.
Back in Moose, on "Ernie Makes a Drum", Ernie silently ladles water over a piece of wood, which is exactly what he's done since the show debuted. Robin tries to assert herself as station manager, to no avail. Joan "Littlebear" Whitney and Beaver reveal on-air a photograph of Mayor Keeshig at a Montreal strip club that was taken by a private detective hired by Beaver. George sets up his office in the utility closet and tries to cancel "Ernie Makes a Drum" which forces Clifford to quit MOOSE TV.
On the way back from Montreal, Gerry picks up a hitchhiker who turns out to be Robin's very "friendly" sister Alice Cheechoo. Before they figure out they're both headed to Moose, they disclose more than they should. Leonard reminds George that he used to love playing Ernie's drums. George reschedules "Ernie Makes a Drum" to pacify Clifford. Robin is dismayed to see her sister Alice.
