 Mayor Gerry Keeshig is big man around Moose. Not only is Gerry Keeshig mayor, he's also the local law enforcement officer and head of Business Development. He owns the town's commercial and social hub, modestly named "Gerry's Place".
"Gerry's Place" serves as the combined local bar/restaurant/coffee shop and souvenir store (though tourists are few and far between in Moose). It also houses a variety of offices and backrooms where Gerry conducts "business" (and keeps a 3-D balsa wood model of "Gerry's World").
Gerry takes his authority very seriously but the people of Moose, while responding to his bellicose orders, obviously don't. Neither does his son George, who doesn't respond to orders at all. The father and son have a competitive relationship; their similarities and their pride make confrontations inevitable. Gerry also prides himself on being a pretty slick guy. He feels he's entitled to all Moose has to offer, and then some. He routinely "re-routes" government funding towards his own commercial schemes.
His pet dream is to convert the local secret fishing spot into "Gerry' World", a commercial fishing camp for tourists. Despite this big man exterior, Gerry is really somewhat of a soft touch who makes a lot of noise to distract from this fact.
