 Billy Merasty now resides in Toronto. His favourite theatre productions include: his own play Fireweed; Daniel David Moses' The Indian Medicine Shows; Tomson Highway's Dry Lips Oughtta Move To Kapuskasing; Michael Hollingsworth's The British and New France, and Lanford Wilson's Raindance.
Billy's television credits include: This is Wonderland (CBC); Wonderfalls (Vision TV); Steven Speilberg's mini-series Into the West (TBS); Liberty St. (CBC), and Justice Denied - The Donald Marshall Story (CBC/NFB).
His film work includes: Atom Egoyan's Exotica; Robert Lepage's Le Confessionel; Denis Arcand's Stardom; Nouvelle France; Terence Malick's The New World, and The Big White starring Robin Williams.
Billy will be playing the lead role of Norval Morrisseau in the world premiere production of Copper Thunderbird at the National Arts Centre in 2007.
