Michelle is a native of Thunder Bay and has lived in Toronto for the past four years. She moved here from Montreal after completing a degree in theatre at Concordia. She has appeared on stage in various parts of Canada and is well known for her portrayal of Trish on Paradise Falls.
Between Paradise Falls seasons, Michelle starred in critically acclaimed stage plays that have been performed in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa. Chekhov Longs (Theatre Smith-Gilmour production) was presented at the Factory Theatre (Toronto), the Festival des Ameriques (Montreal) and the Magnetic North Festival (Ottawa). Idiot, a play by Marion deVries, toured Montreal and Toronto.
Michelle recently starred as a guest lead on Naked Josh and has booked roles on Resident Evil and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.
Although Michelle has had much success as an actor, she has contributed to aspects of our industry that are often neglected such as her proactive involvement with the Native community in theatre as well as film and television through such organizations as the Native Earth Performing Arts theatre company, the Aboriginal Peoples' Television Network (APTN) and Artists for Diversity. Her determination to improve the status of actors from diverse communities is relentless. Michelle is Metis of mixed Algonquin heritage.
